Permits for your project
As a DIY project, you will be responsible for determining whether a permit is necessary to install your patio cover, screen room or sunroom.
It is strongly recommended, should a permit be required, that you acquire
your permit prior to purchasing your material.
We can help by providing all the component engineering on your materials, which would satisfy most permit office requirements. It is possible that some of our sunroom installations may require ‘site-specific’ engineering, and again, we can help.
Most building departments are willing to work with you to help you achieve your goals. The kits/materials we provide are very familiar to most areas, so attaining your permit is usually fairly painless. It is possible, from time to time, to encounter an overzealous permitting office, and they have the power to halt the project. This is why we suggest that if you plan to obtain a permit, you do so before purchasing from us.
