Shipping Damages... Explained!

First, we empathize!

Whether it is shipping damages, or missing parts or when a fridge stops working just a few days after purchase, we have all experienced the disappointment that comes when things don’t happen the way we imagined.

 

Second, please understand that when damage occurs, it is caused by the shipping company, not by the manufacturer or Home Porch and Patio Kits Inc.

 

Home Porch & Patio Kits Inc. collaborates with the manufacturer to create your unit, prepare it for shipping, and arrange for a shipping company to deliver the product to you. The unit is picked up by the shipping company, which legally becomes contractually liable for your unit.

 

If damage happens in transit, the responsibility lies with the shipping company. When you properly receive the product, noting any damage and returning damaged items as per our instructions (on the delivery instructions page), you are helping us hold the shipping company responsible for the expense and re-shipping of your replacement materials.

 

Once you have properly received the product, Home Porch & Patio Kits Inc. handles all paperwork and damage claims. New material is sent out to you without any further inconvenience to you. It is worth noting that we differentiate ourselves from our competition by doing things this way. You will never have to fight with the shipping company to obtain a refund for damaged materials.

 

Finally, it should be understood that once you sign for the materials as ‘received in good condition’, you are declaring that all parties are now cleared of any liability for damage.

Don't be fooled! There is no such thing as 'free shipping!'
