Hard Top Screened Deck Enclosures

DIY Three Season Screen Room Kits

Screened-in Patio Enclosures for Decks & Cement Pads

Screen Room Additions

Our Screen Enclosures are constructed with a ‘hard top roof.’ The roofing is EPS (foam) core insulated panels with weatherproof aluminum sheets laminated to both top and bottom of each panel. All this makes for the perfect permanent three-season screen room installation on an existing deck or concrete pad.

These materials are supplied to the Do-It-Yourself’er with everything needed to assemble the kit, and can usually be accomplished within three days or so, depending on the size of your unit. We supply everything ‘internal’ to the installation, including roofing, roof profiles, beam & post supports, screen wall framing, all the hardware, spline, screening, and screen doors. Pretty much any size is possible!

Engineered Insulated Roof Panels with Beam and Post Support Assembly

Our insulated roof panels utilize SmartLok technology. Designed for ease of installation, the snap-lock panels are made with a high-density 1.5 lb expanded polystyrene core and come in 3″, 4″, and 6″ thicknesses. Roof panel thickness is selected based on the desired span from the house wall and local load requirements. A fan beam (see Insulated Roof Panel Details) can be installed in any insulated roof panel. Click here for more information & pictures.

Taking no shortcuts, the front roof supports are supplied with extruded aluminum beams & posts, creating a properly engineered roof assembly. The screen walls then become inserts into the remaining openings, using extruded aluminum screen wall framing.

Extruded Aluminum Framing

Our extruded aluminum framing integrates the spline groove right into the frame itself, locking your screening in place. The framing is available in a 2″ x 2″ system or our stronger 2″ x 3″ sizing. The factory-painted aluminum framing (Lifetime Warranty) is available in 4 colors – white, clay, black & bronze. Click here for more information & pictures.

The strength and longevity of extruded aluminum far exceed those of wood. All extruded aluminum parts in this wall-mounted hard top screen room system carry a warranted baked-on enamel paint finish.

Options

As you design your screen enclosure, we can help you decide on which type of screening you might need. Door placements and the number of doors are also another area where you can make choices in your design. Lastly, you can choose between a bottom kick plate or a simple horizontal chair rail, which can be placed at any height you wish. Together, these aspects of our hard-top screen rooms set us apart from the competition and give you the perfect DIY application. Virtually maintenance-free, this is the ultimate three-season screened enclosure for any deck or patio. High quality, durable, and maintenance-free – all at a price that will not break the bank!

You will need to know your local building department, load (lb./sq.ft.) and wind requirements (mph.)

Your city’s building department issues building permits. You may or may not need an actual permit for your installation. This responsibility rests with the homeowner. It is our strong recommendation that you obtain your permit before purchasing. We can help with that! However, panel thickness, beam placements, beam size, distance between posts out front… all are a function of the load (snow & wind) that your cover will be subject to. Though you may not require a permit, we ask that you acquire the load requirements for your area, so that we can supply you with the ‘correct’ thickness and configuration of materials!

This table describes how far a panel can span away from the wall out to the beam & posts assembly

How to read the table: For example… a 3″ thick roof panel will span 12’7″ away from the wall under a 20 lb. loading
